Rachel Silver

is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a BFA degree in Fine Art. Delaware-based: a teaching artist creating at the intersection of ceramics, photography and illustration. 

"As a multi-disciplinary artist, I explore the world around me through many creative lenses. Observing light and motion through photography, exploring the delicate balance of shape and form through ceramics, and dancing between the lines and limits of meditative illustration practices. 

As a teaching artist my priority is to maintain a curiosity about art practices, which I why I refuse to 'niche down' into a single medium. I lead my students by example, as the best learning moments begin with a glimmer of curiosity. I believe that students are capable of creating meaningful art at any age, and the toolbox of creative practices I carry with me is my best asset to help them achieve those works."
